Ice Cream Truck is Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound (1979)

The boys in the truck take on southern rock on their second studio album, and first for major label Warmer Bros. Records. Notable tracks include "Bad To The Cone," "Sweet Cone o'Vanilla," "The Night We Drove Ol' Truck to Town," and "Gimme Three Scoops."

While some industry insiders called the work derivative, others asked "What's southern rock?" This album sold particularly well below the Mason-Dixon line.

The release of Whiskey Bent marked the band's first and only tour, conducted in an ice cream truck which was (appropriately) fitted with a swamp cooler for the occasion.
